Lifts defined as “inside” vehicle wheelchair lifts and scooter lifts are simply devices that load your scooter or wheelchair inside your vehicle. An “inside lift” may in fact be mounted outside in your vehicle’s towing hitch, but only for the purpose of loading a wheelchair or scooter into the trunk. The most common type of inside lift however, is a platform mounted inside the vehicle, and designed to electrically slide out and drop down to the pavement, or lift electrically from the end of a boom using straps or other type docking devices.
