Picking Up A Vertical Platform Lift At A Freight Terminal

Wheelchair Lift Delivery At Freight Terminal

Any tall tower wheelchair lift must be delivered to a freight loading dock that has a forklift with extra long forks. As you will see in this video, a tall tower lift must be handled with great care to insure that the spindle drive does not flex beyond it’s natural limits. The tower frame is comprised of steel two by four beams designed to provide a rigid compartment for the drive.

This pick up utilizes a 16 foot trailer and you can see that there is no room to spare. Many customers that do not have a trailer or truck in their fleet take delivery at their location or rent an enclosed truck with a 20 foot bed for the day. Be sure to let our representatives assist you with a delivery plan that is going to be timely, and result in the least potential for inconvenience.
