Harmar's Universal Outside Carrier is their most affordable wheelchair carrier or scooter carrier. This lift is economical without sacrificing safety or quality. Instead, you save money due to the simplicity of this hitch-mounted wheelchair carrier. The Universal Outside Carrier's ramp has a brilliant folding design, allowing for a nice, gradual slope for loading. The simplicity of design also allows this wheelchair carrier to serve as a scooter carrier for all but the largest of scooters. This hitch-mounted carrier can accept loads up to 500 pounds.

| Pros |
It is good for the type of car I have, and I have no problems using my power chair to carry it.
| Cons |
It gets to low to the ground when the chair is on it. When having to go into drive ways of places or any place their is a bit of a hill side going into a place.
I am happy with the ramp but there are problems with it scraping at times.

| A Little About Myself |
58 year-old retired male
| Pros |
The carrier was promptly delivered and easy to install. The carries is very easy to load and strap down and when not in use it folds up and is easy to travel with. I like the fact that it will fit either into our Trailblazer or our Ford Ranger. It can be changed to fit either one, that we are using at the time, so thankfully, it is not necessary to purchase two separate vehicle lifts and also enjoy the fact that it has no mechanical parts to break down.
| Cons |
So far have not found any cons other than it get's wet when it rains, and that is not the fault of the carrier, that is just life.
| Service & Delivery |
The service was great and just after one time talking to our salesman upon calling back he remenbered our first conversation and did not have to repeat a lot of information over again and as for delivery it arrived three days early.

Would highly recommend this carried.

| A Little About Myself |
Caretaker for my Dad.
| Pros |
The Carrier works well for what we use it for. We use it to get my Dad out of the house with his scooter, and back and forth to the Dr. visits. I was afraid picking the ramp up and down would be difficult but I have no trouble with the scooter. |
| Cons |
There was one part missing and we haven't been able to find it any where to purchase it. It is the pin that holds the ramp up to the car for traveling without the scooter.
| Service & Delivery |
The lift arrived right when he said it would. Delivered right to our front door.
I am over all very happy with what we got for the price. Other lifts were going to be twice as much.

Generic 75-year-old.
| Pros |
This vehicle lift is extremely well built and very sturdy. Looks like it should last indefinitely. Excellent appearance. |
| Cons |
It won't accommodate a Pride company "Jazzy 614HD" due to the wheel configuration of this particular power chair.
| Service & Delivery |
All I can say so far, is it's excellent.
When it became obvious that the lift couldn't accommodate my power chair, Universal Accessibility sprang into action. They immediately started the process for a refund. I like the way Universal Accessibility operates.
